Japan, March 11 -- Toyo Engineering Corporation (President and CEO Eiji Hosoi, TOYO) has been awarded an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract by NIPPON SHOKUBAI CO., LTD. (President and CEO Kazuhiro Noda, NIPPON SHOKUBAI) for a new lithium-ion battery electrolyte production plant in Fukuoka, Japan. The project is scheduled for completion in FY2027.The electrolyte produced at this facility will contribute to improving the performance of lithium-ion batteries used in electric vehicles (EVs).
