Understanding how honour works in different cultures for the benefit of all
Very little is known about how cultural groups that encourage honour as a fundamental cultural value coordinate with others, come to agreements and apologise for transgressions. These behaviours are key when individuals work together to solve disputes or address joint challenges. They can either facilitate or inhibit important interpersonal practices such as negotiation and coalition building.
