Southwest Shipyard Lip awarded $7,800,000 contract for welded steel revetment barges

United States, July 31 -- Southwest Shipyard Lip, Channelview, Texas, was awarded a firm-fixed-price contract for welded steel revetment barges. The amount of this action is $7,800,000. Bids were solicited via the internet with three received. Work will be performed in Galveston, Texas with an estimated completion date of March 3, 2027. Fiscal 2025 revolving funds in the amount of $7,800,000 were obligated at the time of the award. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is the contracting activity (W912BU-25-C-A012).
