United States, Sept. 29 -- FlatironDragados and joint venture partner Skanska have been awarded the construction contract by Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) for the structures and utilities work on the Airfield and Terminal Modernization Program (ATMP) Roadway Improvements Project at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).To date, the Skanska-FlatironDragados joint venture has been awarded $604 million for preconstruction and construction work, part of the overall estimated $1.5 billion budget for this capital improvement project.The project serves as a key component to the broader modernization at LAX ahead of the 2026 World Cup and 2028 Summer Olympics.
