Sweden, Jan. 20 -- Skanska has signed an agreement with Svenska kraftnat to expand part of the electricity grid in western Stockholm. The contract is worth about SEK 500M, which will be included in Skanska Sweden's order bookings in the first quarter of 2026.The assignment primarily includes groundwork including cable laying for a new 400 kV (kilovolt) cable connection, about 10 km long, between Kronasen and Racksta.The expansion is one of several initiatives that Svenska kraftnat is implementing in the western parts of Stockholm, where today's 220 kV lines are being replaced by new 400 kV connections to increase the capacity of the electricity grid.
