Nepal, Nov. 5 -- On October 30, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a grant agreement with the Government of Nepal in the capital city Kathmandu, to provide grant aid for the Programme for Emergency Rehabilitation of Sindhuli Road Affected by Floods. The signatures were exchanged between Foreign Aid Coordination Division Joint Secretary Dhani Ram Sharma of Ministry of Finance and Chief Representative Matsuzaki Mizuki of JICA Nepal.The Sindhuli Road, a 160 km national highway connecting Kathmandu to the Eastern Terai region bordering India, was developed through Japanese Grant Aid and serves as a vital transportation and logistics artery for communities in the region.
