Siemens completed the acquisition of ebm-papst's industrial drive technology business
Germany, July 1 -- Siemens closed its acquisition of ebm-papst's Industrial Drive Technology (IDT) division. IDT has about 650 employees in Germany (St. Georgen and Lauf an der Pegnitz) and one in Romania (Oradea). Its portfolio includes intelligent, integrated mechatronic systems, as well as driving systems. These technologies are used in free-moving, driverless transport systems designed for industrial environments, where they facilitate the efficient movement of goods and materials.
