Germany, Dec. 19 -- Siemens Mobility and the Danish operator Midtjyske Jernbaner are celebrating a historic milestone for Denmark's green transition. On December 19, 2025, H.M. King Frederik officially inaugurated the country's first battery-powered trains. Seven Mireo Plus B trains from Siemens Mobility will now enter passenger service on the Holstebro-Skjern and Vemb-Lemvig-Thyboron lines, replacing the old diesel fleet and providing quiet, emission-free rail transport in the West Jutland region.The deployment of these battery-powered trains marks a significant step in Denmark's efforts to decarbonize its public transport system.
