Saipem authorized by ExxonMobil Guyana to execute $500 million Hammerhead offshore project
Guyana, Sept. 26 -- Saipem has received authorization from ExxonMobil Guyana Limited to proceed with the execution of activities under the engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) contract for the Hammerhead oil field, located in the Stabroek block offshore Guyana at a depth of about 1,000 meters.The contract is valued at approximately USD 500 million. On April 2, 2025, Saipem had announced the receipt of a Limited Notice To Proceed, which allowed it to start detailed engineering and procurement of long-lead equipment.
