Germany, April 23 -- RWE is expanding its onshore wind portfolio in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania by 22.8 MW.After winning the auction organised by the Federal Network Agency at the end of last year, the company has now started construction work. RWE is building four wind turbines with a total installed capacity of 22.8 megawatts (MW) near Papenhagen, close to the small town of Grimmen in the district of Vorpommern-Rugen. Commissioning is scheduled for mid-2026. Together, they will supply around 20,000 households with green electricity. RWE is building another wind turbine nearby on behalf of a project partner.
