RBI imposes monetary penalty on Shri Basaveshwar Sahakari Bank Niyamitha, Bagalkot, Karnataka
India, Nov. 20 -- The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has, by an order dated November 12, 2025, imposed a monetary penalty of Rs. 1 lakh (Rupees One Lakh only) on Shri Basaveshwar Sahakari Bank Niyamitha, Bagalkot, Karnataka (the bank) for non-compliance with certain directions issued by RBI on 'Income Recognition, Asset Classification, Provisioning and Other Related Matters - UCBs' and 'Reserve Bank of India (Co-operative Banks - Interest Rate on Deposits) Directions, 2016'.
