R2BUILD awarded $9,447,923 contract to construct a new combined pumphouse and substation, and demolition of the old pumphouse and substation

United States, Sept. 23 -- R2BUILD, Irvine, California, was awarded a $9,447,923 firm-fixed-price contract to construct a new combined pumphouse and substation, and demolition of the old pumphouse and substation. Bids were solicited via the internet with five received. Work will be performed in Long Beach, California, with an estimated completion date of Oct. 20, 2027. Fiscal 2025 operation and maintenance, defense-wide funds in the amount of $9,447,923 were obligated at the time of the award. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Los Angeles District, is the contracting activity (W912PL-25-C-0012).
