Japan, Nov. 26 -- Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK Line) has renewed its memorandum of understanding with BHP Group Ltd, originally signed in June 2022, to continue collaboration on decarbonization and vessel-operation safety in the dry bulk sector, the company said in a news release.The agreement was signed on November 25 and outlines continued joint research on technologies for ammonia dual-fuel vessels, expanded biofuel trials and related low-carbon measures, and enhanced safety through NYK Line's vessel-tonnage supply across a range of dry bulk cargoes. Both companies said the updated MOU is intended to strengthen their bilateral model of cooperation and build momentum in the dry bulk industry.
