United States, Aug. 28 -- Leidos Inc., Reston, Virginia, has been awarded an $8,980,894 modification (P00018) to a previously awarded contract (FA9451-22-C-0002) to develop, test, and demonstrate a mature prototype based on the first-generation technology demonstrator, high-power microwave counter unmanned aerial system prototype. Work will be performed at Albuquerque, New Mexico, and is expected to be completed by December 31, 2026. Fiscal 2025 and 2026 research development, test and evaluation funds in the amount of $6,734,000 are being obligated at the time of award. The Air Force Research Laboratory, Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico, is the contracting activity.
