United States, Sept. 23 -- Koontz Electric Co. Inc., Morrilton, Arkansas, was awarded a $8,230,860 firm-fixed-price contract for the Soo Locks 15kV switchgear replacement construction project. The amount of this action is $8,230,860. Bids were solicited via the internet with three received. Work will be performed in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan, with an estimated completion date of April 11, 2028. Fiscal 2023 civil operation and maintenance funds in the amount of $8,230,860 were obligated at the time of the award.
