Germany, Feb. 17 -- KfW IPEX-Bank is providing Kolner Verkehrs-Betriebe (KVB) with around EUR 50 million. The company is a subsidiary of Stadtwerke Koln, the infrastructure and services company of the city of Cologne. The funds will be used for long-term financing of investments for public transport, including electric buses and infrastructure measures. With its financing, KfW IPEX-Bank will help make public transport a more attractive option for travellers, in so doing helping to advance the decarbonisation process in the transport sector and boost the economy in the Cologne region.
