KfW IPEX-Bank provides financing for Liverpool Bay CCS CO2 transport & storage network in the UK
United Kingdom, April 24 -- KfW IPEX-Bank contributes GBP 100 million to the multi-billion Eni's Liverpool Bay CCS Carbon Dioxide Transport and Storage (T&S) Project to serve the HyNet industrial cluster in the Northwest of England and North Wales. The financing supports the transformation towards the decarbonisation of one of the UK's most energy-intensive industrial areas by using carbon capture and storage (CCS). Following the recent financial close of the Northern Endurance Partnership (NEP) project, this transaction is the second commercial project for financing a major CCS hub in the UK.
