Rwanda, March 7 -- On March 5, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a loan agreement with the Government of the Republic of Rwanda in Kigali to provide a Japanese ODA loan of up to 14,000 million yen for the Development Policy Loan for Education Sector.

In Rwanda, the number of teachers and classrooms is not enough to meet the country's rapidly growing school-age population, and the quality of teaching is deteriorating. In addition, this has led to a decline in students' motivation and proficiency, with many repeating grades or dropping out.
