IDB Pay to Expand Digital Payment Systems in Latin America and Caribbean
United States, Nov. 4 -- The Inter-American Development Bank Group (IDB Group) has launched IDB Pay, a new initiative aimed at accelerating the rollout of real-time, low-cost digital payment systems throughout Latin America and the Caribbean to bring financial services to the 30% of the region's population that remains unbanked by 2030.IDB Pay aims to support countries to build inclusive, interoperable, and secure Fast Retail Payment Systems (FRPS) and other Digital Public Financial Infrastructures (DPFI).
