("Hitachi-GE Nuclear Energy"), a joint venture between Hitachi, Ltd. and GE Vernova, announces its role in supplying key reactor components for the first unit of Ontario Power Generation("OPG")'s Darlington New Nuclear Project ("DNNP") under its nuclear alliance partner, GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy.The DNNP marks a significant milestone as it is the first Small Modular Reactor ("SMR") project in North America, and OPG has officially announced the commencement of construction for the BWRX-300 on May 8, 2025.
