United Kingdom, June 26 -- The European Union (EU) and the United Kingdom will make contributions to the EBRD-managed International Chernobyl Cooperation Account (ICCA) as part of ongoing international efforts to support the restoration of the key functions of the New Safe Confinement (NSC) at the Chornobyl nuclear power plant (ChNPP) in Ukraine.The EU will contribute up to €25 million, while the United Kingdom will contribute up to €6.7 million, with both pledges being made at today's ICCA Assembly meeting in London.
