Spain, Sept. 5 -- The European Investment Bank (EIB) Group is announcing the appointment of Maria Romano as the new Head of its Madrid Office. She succeeds Fernando Torija, who is retiring after four years of distinguished service at this position. In her new role, Maria Romano will focus on advancing the EIB Group's institutional relations agenda and coordinating the Group's teams to support the development of transformative projects in Spain.Maria Romano brings over a decade of experience within the EIB Group, having held senior leadership roles at both the EIB and the EIF.
