EBRD supports expansion of leading Polish fibre operator
Poland, June 27 -- The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is lending PLN 300 million (€70 million) to ?wiat?owod Inwestycje (S-I), Poland's largest wholesale-only fibre infrastructure operator, to support its fibre optic rollout strategy in semi-urban areas and refinance existing debt.Some 700,000 new households will gain access to high-speed internet thanks to S-I. This marks a significant milestone in the company's business plan to reach a total of 3.1 million homes passed by the end of 2032.
