EBRD helping Montenegro's energy sector to invest in digitalisation
Montenegro, Jan. 27 -- The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is providing a loan of up to €35 million to Crnogorski Elektrodistributivni Sistem (CEDIS) to support the development of Montenegro's energy sector. This will be used to finance the implementation of a new supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system and an advanced distribution management system (ADMS), as well as the procurement of new smart meters. The project is also aiming to benefit from a grant under the European Union's Western Balkans Investment Framework.
