Duke Energy Florida launches ENERGY STAR(R) multifamily new construction incentive
United States, Oct. 7 -- Duke Energy Florida has launched a new ENERGY STAR incentive program, enabling multifamily builders to receive a $500 credit for each individually metered unit which meets ENERGY STAR certification criteria. The incentive can be combined with an additional $500 tax credit from ENERGY STAR.How it worksTo receive the rebate, builders will need to:Submit the Energy Star Homes Programs Intake Form Register as a Duke Energy Trade Ally Complete ENERGY STAR certification requirement with verification Submit a copy of the certification for each unit for paymentWhile the program provides immediate benefit to builders, it also enables future residents to save money through energy efficient upgrades.
