Indonesia, Oct. 14 -- CIMIC Group company Leighton Asia has secured a three-year extension to its asset integrity contract with PT Vale Indonesia, supporting operations at the Sorowako nickel mine in South Sulawesi, Indonesia.The scope includes inspection, maintenance, engineering and construction services for critical production assets, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of mine infrastructure upgrades and expansions. Nickel is a key component in battery technologies and high-performance alloys, making this project central to the global supply of critical minerals.
