Chemetall runs its Blackman Township production facility in the USA entirely on renewable electricity
United States, Feb. 11 -- The Surface Treatment global business unit of BASF's Coatings division, operating under the Chemetall brand, has switched its electricity supply for its production site Blackman Township in Jackson County, Michigan, USA, to 100% renewable electricity. The energy provided by the partner BASF Renewable Energy is generated by a subset of renewable resources, including solar and wind, resulting in an approximate reduction of 950 tons of CO2 emissions in 2025.The partnership with BASF Renewable Energy reflects Chemetall's commitment to more sustainable solutions and its continuous efforts to use sustainable and renewable electricity sources in its 16 production facilities worldwide.
