Norway, Sept. 17 -- Capsol Technologies, a leading provider of carbon capture technology, has been awarded a engineering study evaluating the use of CapsolEoP[(R)] (End-of-Pipe) at a European metal production plant - broadening its addressable market with another carbon-intensive sector. The project has the potential to capture several hundred thousand tonnes of CO2 annually. Metal production has significant emissions from both energy use and chemical processes, which cannot be eliminated simply by switching to renewable power. CapsolEoP[(R)] is well-suited for metal production, offering large-scale CO2 capture with low energy consumption and without the need for external steam, distinguishing it from other technologies such as amines.
