Building power station in Gothenburg
Norway, June 5 -- AF Bygg Vast, a part of AF Gruppen Sweden, has been commissioned by the Port of Gothenburg to construct a new power station in Skandiahamnen, Gothenburg. The contract is a turnkey project with a contract value of SEK 129 million excluding VAT.The project is part of the Port of Gothenburg's preparations for the upcoming legal requirement for onshore power supply (OPS) to vessels in the Container, RoPax, and Cruise segments, which will come into effect in 2030.The facility will enable future power supply to berths in Skandiahamnen and is a key measure in the port's efforts to reduce emissions from shipping.
