United States, Sept. 12 -- Black Hills Ammunition Inc., Rapid City, South Dakota, is awarded a $7,500,000 firm-fixed price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for 5.56mm long range ammunition special ball cartridges, MK262 MOD 1, AA53. This contract does not include options. Work will be performed in Rapid City, South Dakota, and is expected to be completed by August 2030. Fiscal 2024 procurement of ammunition (Navy and Marine Corps) funds in the amount of $630,678 will be obligated at the time of award which will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
