Sweden, June 26 -- Alstom, a global leader in smart and sustainable mobility, has delivered and commissioned ERTMS on the Iron Ore Line (known in Swedish as 'Malmbanan'), one of Sweden's most critical rail lines for freight transport. This marks the first deployment of the new European signalling standard outside of Sweden's ERTMS pilot lines, bringing increased reliability and less need for maintenance to this strategically vital route. The modernisation of Malmbanan's signalling was carried out in close partnership with Trafikverket (the Swedish Transport Administration).
