Mexico, May 12 -- Alstom, global leader in smart and sustainable mobility, has taken an important step in the implementation of its sustainability strategy with the installation of a photovoltaic panel system at its manufacturing site in Ciudad Sahagun, Mexico, which is Alstom's third largest plant in the world. Through this initiative, Alstom is demonstrating its commitment to decarbonising its activities and contributing to the 2050 objective of zero emissions in the value chain.The recent installation of photovoltaic panels at the Sahagun site offers a production capacity of 583 kWh, which will generate around 1,220 MWh of energy per year, or 16.8% of the site's total energy consumption.
