Alstom accelerates railway careers in Canada with new funding for Ontario Tech students
Canada, June 12 -- Alstom, global leader in smart and sustainable mobility, announced today that it will provide $106,000 CAD (approximately 68,000 euro) over a three-year period to support Ontario Tech University Engineering students considering careers in the railway industry.This new funding comes during the lead-up to the launch of Canada's only English-language undergraduate Railway Engineering specialization in September 2025. Developed with the support of Alstom and other organizations in the industry, the program will begin with four rail-focused courses open to third-year students in Manufacturing, Automotive, Mechatronics and Mechanical Engineering programs.
