Air Arabia extends its partnership with Lufthansa Technik to engine MRO
Germany, Nov. 18 -- Today at the Dubai Airshow, Air Arabia and Lufthansa Technik have signed a contract on the long-term provisioning of comprehensive engine MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) services for the CFM56-5Bs powering the airline's 43-aircraft-strong Airbus A320ceo family fleet. Until 2033, the Middle East and North Africa's first and largest budget carrier operator will send these engines to Lufthansa Technik's specialized workshop in Hamburg, Germany, which has already welcomed the first one.In addition to the engine services, a recently signed agreement with the airline will see Lufthansa Technik Middle East (LTME) continue to provide comprehensive repairs for nose radomes for another five years.
