ADB to Improve Resilient Transport Connectivity in Timor-Leste
Timor-Leste, Oct. 14 -- The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a $4 million grant to improve road transport connectivity and boost resilience in Ermera, a remote and underserved region of Timor-Leste.The grant provided through the Asian Development Fund (ADF) will enhance a critical 11-kilometer (km) road corridor connecting rural communities to markets and essential services, while safeguarding infrastructure from climate risks. The project includes upgrading the road infrastructure along the 11-km of the Ermera-Fatubessi corridor, utilizing nature-based solutions to enhance resilience.
