ADB President Deepens US Engagement, Puts Private Sector-led Growth at Forefront of ADB-US Partnership
United States, April 25 -- Asian Development Bank (ADB) President Masato Kanda held a series of high-level discussions in Washington, headlined by a meeting with United States Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent that underscored ADB's sharpened focus on private sector development. ADB's private sector operations have more than doubled since 2022. The bank aims to quadruple private investment financing to $13 billion a year by 2030 and ensure that 40% of its sovereign operations directly support private-sector development.Mr. Kanda also met with US House Financial Services Committee Chairman French Hill.
