Vanuatu, Nov. 11 -- The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a $10 million grant to help reduce the incidence of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) and improve access to quality health care across four northern provinces of Vanuatu: Malampa, Penama, Sanma, and Torba. The Northern Provinces Health and Treatment Project will strengthen the health systems of the provinces to effectively diagnose and treat NCDs, including cervical cancer. The project will establish a dedicated NCD health facility at the Northern Provincial Hospital in Luganville to enhance curative NCD treatment and management of chronic conditions.
