Kiribati, Dec. 1 -- The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a $10 million policy-based grant to help Kiribati strengthen public sector management, foster women's financial inclusion, and enhance environmental protection. The grant is part of the Sustainable and Inclusive Economic Recovery Program (Subprogram 2), which builds on earlier reforms aimed at promoting inclusive and resilient growth across three reform areas. Reforms under subprogram 2 supported the legislation and implementation of key measures to modernize public financial management, broaden the tax base, strengthen oversight of state-owned enterprises, update the legal framework for the digital economy, and increase transparency in budget expenditures.
