Spain, Oct. 9 -- Companhia Espirito Santense de Saneamento (CESAN) has awarded ACCIONA the contract for urban sanitation services in eight municipalities in the state of Espirito Santo, in southeast Brazil.The project consists of wastewater treatment and commercial management support services, benefiting a population of 250,000 people in the eight municipalities, with planned investments of R$540 million (€85 million) over a 23-year contract period.The contract is structured as a public-private partnership in the form of an administrative concession for the construction, operation and maintenance of the project and is fully aligned with the EU taxonomy for sustainable activities, supporting the transition to a low-carbon economy.
