The theme of World Health Day 2025, Healthy Beginnings, Hopeful Futures, draws our attention to one of the most pressing issues in global healthcare today - the urgent need to improve maternal and newborn health. The World Health Organisation (WHO) is calling on governments, healthcare providers, and communities to strengthen efforts in reducing preventable deaths among mothers and infants.
