Shimla, Sept. 11 -- Governor of Himachal Pradesh (designate) Bandaru Dattatraya was given a rousing reception on his arrival at Shimla on Tuesday. His wife Vasantha also accompanied him.
Dattatraya will swear in as the 27th Governor of Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday.
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, Mayor Kusum Sadret, Chief Secretary Shrikant Baldi, Director General of Police S.R. Mardi, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Sanjay Kundu, senior officials of the state government and other dignitaries welcomed him at the Raj Bhawan.
The Chief Minister honoured Dattatraya with Himachali cap and shawl.
