India, June 21 -- In the beginning, there was sound and from it, language, memory and music. Across borders and generations, music remains one of the few things that needs no translation. On World Music Day, observed globally on June 21 as Fete de la Musique, the conversation turns not to industry charts or celebrity buzz, but to the collective power of harmony and identity. This year, in India, that conversation has a beating heart and his name is David Walters. This year, finds a vivid expression in India through Walters' tour, presented by the French Institute in India and the Alliance Francaise network.
