Ranchi, Sept. 22 -- Jharkhand's Covid-19 recovery rate went above 80 per cent for the first time since the entry of the virus in the State after 1,599 patients recovered from the lethal infection on Monday, figures released by the state health department stated. The national Covid recovery rate on Monday was 80.10 per cent against Jharkhand's 80.55 per cent.

As per Government figures, the number of active cases of Covid-19 infection dropped in Ranchi as well as East Singhbhum, two of the worst-affected districts in Jharkhand, despite 1321 people testing positive for the viral infection across the state in the past 24 hours.
