Chandigarh, Sept. 17 -- An ally of the ruling NDA at the Centre, Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) Rajya Sabha chief whip Naresh Gujral on Wednesday issued a three line whip to all members of the Rajya Sabha to oppose the three central Ordinances related to agriculture marketing as well as amendments in the Essential Commodities Act.
In the whip, Gujral has directed all SAD Rajya Sabha members to oppose the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Bill 2020, The Farmers Produce, Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill 2020 and The Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement of Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill 2020.
