PURI, Oct. 19 -- Puri Sankaracharya Swami Nischilananda Saraswati has said that giving minority status to Sikhs, Jains and Buddhists is a big conspiracy against Hinduism.
He said that in spite of these faiths being a very part of Hinduism, they were separated being given a minority status with a target to make Hindus a minority incountry. He took strong exception to provisions in Article 25 of Constitution permitting citizens' rights to profess and practise religions of their choice. He also strongly opposed religious conversion.
