Chandigarh, Sept. 5 -- Punjab Health & Family Welfare Minister Balbir Singh Sidhuon Wednesday asked the Civil Surgeons int he state to ensure that every patient is provided emergency services in empanelled hospitals under Ayushman Bharat Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojna.
In a departmental review meeting held here, Sidhu directed the Civil Surgeons to ensure the compliance of Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojna and said that if the emergency services are not available in the Public Hospital, it is mandatory to refer the case to the nearest empanelled private hospitals.
He also made it clear that its responsibility of hospital to guide the every patient whether they are covered under this scheme or not.
