NEW DELHI, Sept. 17 -- While in the lower atmosphere of the earth, ozone is considered as bad pollutant and rated as secondary, the ozone level in different part of the city was recorded abnormally high. Areas such as Civil Lines, IGI Airport, Vivek Vihar, Bawana and Anand Vihar were found with higher ozone level.

As per the pollution data of Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC), the ozone levels are fluctuating between 44-180 micro cubic per gram. Bad ozone in atmosphere formed when pollutants emitted by cars, power plants, industrial boilers, refineries, chemical plants, and other sources react chemically in the presence of sunlight. Ozone at ground level is a harmful air pollutant.
