DEHRADUN, Sept. 12 -- Amidst the various steps that are being taken by Municipal Corporation of Dehradun (MCD) to make Dehradun a cleaner place, the garbage transfer station along Haridwar bypass road near Kargi Chowk has become a major sore in the scenario. The commuters and local residents have been complaining about the foul smell and increased number of insects, but the work for a closed compartment area for transfer of garbage is yet to be started. The company project manager has assured that the construction work will be completed in the next two months.
