BHUBANESWAR, Sept. 24 -- The Odisha Human Rights Commission (OHRC) on Wednesday ordered a Bhubaneswar private hospital to conduct surgery of an injured youth who tested positive for Covid-19.

Hearing a petition filed by the injured youth's brother, the OHRC asked the Director of KIMS hospital to immediately undertake surgery of the youth Ranjit Nayak if he is still admitted to the hospital.

The cost of the treatment would be borne by the patient, the OHRC stated.In the petition, the injured youth's brother Pabitra Nayak mentioned Ranjit was taken from one hospital to another for treatment after he suffered a stabbing injury on September 8.
