Mumbai, Feb. 27 -- Maharashtra crossed a grim Covid-19 milestone of 51,000 deaths on Friday, as 48 more people succumbed to the pandemic in various parts of the State.
On the third consecutive day when the Covid-19 infections shot past 8,000 mark to touch a daily case tally of 8,333, the State witnessed 48 more deaths.
With the fresh deaths, the total Covid-19 deaths in the State jumped from 51,993 to 52,041.
Similarly, with 8,333 new cases, the total infections recorded till date has increased from 21,29,821 to 21,38,134.
As 4,936 patients were discharged from the hospitals across the state after full recovery, the total number of people discharged from the hospitals since the second week of March last year went up to 20,17,303 The rec...
